be very carefull i reconise the name and if it is the same bloke not a good payer

if you google that phone number you get a link to JJT logistics.

They are based in the big yard on the snodland bypass that NYR recovery amongst others are in.

If I remember correctly didn’t they also have that silver SSC DAF XF with thunderbirds airbrushed all over it.

Might be worth looking at this before getting too keen.

No Agency. He is BAD NEWS pickey boy

Having read all the comments posted about A+ European I am somewhat disappointed that drivers that have not worked for the company feel they have a right to have an opinion. Well, I have worked here for nearly 3 years now and can honestly say that I have no intention of changing employers. The money is reasonable and always in the bank, the motors are mixed of newer and slightly older but are all well maintained and work very well. The work is not difficult, I am not chased as to where I am all the time, the paperwork is straight forwards. Nothing difficult really. However like some of the people that have made comments on here I have seen some proper idiots that simply cannot do a simple job. Not checking they have the right container numbers and then driving 200+ miles for nothing, running out of diesel, cant complete time sheets, expenses sheets or defects, getting in a truck without doing a simple walk round check. All bosses moan about something or other but some have good cause to moan. Maybe you should all take a good hard look at yourselves, “Are you as good a driver as you think you are”. Most are good at talking Bks as this forum shows. It is human nature to make the odd mistake no ones perfect, but some people well? Maybe trucknet should start a forum for employers to talk about drivers got a feeling that there would be a driver shortage then. If the boss was such a bad boss how come most of the drivers here have been here 18 months+. If there are any jobs going here then do your self a favour if you get offered the job take it and try for yourself. Don’t listen to the bks on here. Next time you are sitting in a Tesco waiting room or similar take a good look around you and listen to what people say, the truth is they are talking about something they where told and do not know enough or the facts to be talking about somethings.

I smell crap here.how did you find a topic from march 2012 by luck and also dodgy when your first post is in defense of a firm were posters are saying are crap payers and dodgy

Well nearly there, I was talking to a driver I worked with years ago about a firm we both worked together at and some of the remarks that where made about that company. I decided to look up anything relating to other companies I worked with other drivers Iworked with then where I work now and that is how I found it. Sounds like you have something against the company? Have you worked here as well or are you one of the drivers that has passed through here?

Nope never worked there or even heard of the place until today bud but as i said when peeps first post are basically saying the companys fantastic and its only crap drivers who dont like them.it sounds suss but mearly my takeon it

That is fair comment, But I never said they where fantastic. But please read what I wrote initially. I said the company paid reasonable money, they run a mixed bag of newer and older motors, the work was easy. I would say that they are a good company to work for there are worse and there are better. And as I actually work here feel that I am in a better position to talk about the company than anyone else. And if I don’t get to the yard soon I will miss the boat be late in be in the same class a the drivers I was talking about.
Take care!

If I remember correctly didn’t they also have that silver SSC DAF XF with thunderbirds airbrushed all over it.

No, that started life with a company called TLC Transport and was one of four themed customised trucks, Joe 90, Stingray and Captain Scarlett being the others.

Trouble is, “TLC” stood for Trailer Load of Cannabis" and the bloke who owned the firm went round telling everybody and splashing cash about (those paint jobs were £12,000 each, in 2002), with the inevitable result that he was pulled in at Dover one day where the UKBA found a ton or two of nine-bars welded into the trailer with the result that the bloke went off to chokey for four years.

The Thunderbirds one is currently operated by a bloke called George Bryant on the Isle of Grain, one of the others was up for sale in Gravesend with a blown engine last I heard.

Hi harry, I was driving captain Scarlett last year for my old boss on tipper work. Its had its day now for sure! It didnt suit scrap tipper work running out of Cardiff.

Fairly new company based on their web address registration, previously based on the Newington Industrial Estate outside Sittingbourne, that place could tell a few tales if it could talk!

JJT logistics was TLC European, but the airbrushed dafs were repoed before JJT were formed. I know this as I worked for PCL in Hoddesdon when the boss, Joe Riccotta, snatched them back. They were in our yard in Hoddesdon for a while
