Looking for a spot of help here, chaps…
Many years ago I drove for a company called A Jones and Sons, based in Eastbourne (Sussex) but with very expensive boot and shoe retail outlets all over the country. We had a pair of Bedford TK’s with big box bodies, I believe they were P registered…grey in colour.
One of the drivers was named Fred Walker, he had a horrendous crash in Cambridge with a drunk driver, and never really worked again, bless his heart. Fred used to do the Northern run and I did the West Country, although both runs used to overlap somewhat.
I’m wondering if anyone has any photos of these trucks in their collections…both were more or less the same, but mine had yellow floral curtains (I slept in the cab, Fred would always go in digs overnight)
Any help with a photo or two would be greatly appreciated.
