Any drivers from this firm on here?
They look like a good firm to work for and really nice trucks too.

I think the trucks are renewed every two or three years so the kit is decent as the work is hard on them (quarry/coal etc). My Dad’s mate drives for them and he likes it and just runs around locally on days but don’t know about tramping hours or pay rates sorry. Nearly all tippers too I think with a handful of walking floors/curtains also. Don’t think I’ve seen them advertising for drivers which is always a good sign.
They look like a great firm to work for.
I would love to be tramping for them. Don’t think I will get that chance because I am only 18
They used to be known as an outfit that gave you nice tackle but poor pay, although they treat you OK

I asked if I could spend a day with them but unfortunately the boss said no because of health and safety at the sites they tip at.

Good attitude, just a ■■■■ shame no-one allows folk to gain this kind of experience, I reckon it would go a long way to bringing more young drivers into the industry.

I landed a job tramping for my dad when I’m not on my shift in the local volvo garage. Insurance for us young uns is just 500 pounds excess, so most firms will take you on. Just don’t go working for the big green ego firm based in Carlisle
I see these wagons when I venture up North away from my usual Maidenhead/Silvertown runs. They’re in good nick for their job, if you wanna get in with them you better prepare your sponge!
I’m just trying to get out there because I know being 18 I will find it hard to get a job. Anyone recommend and good firms in Central Scotland?
