Nope. Not at Tesco. Can do 56 with the best of them its just a comcious choice that I make to sit at 53/52
Really?
I got the impression they were all limited to 45.Im nit going to pretend they arent a pain when you get a few trucks bunched together.I think it should be 50 min speed for a truck to be honest

a lot of sudden slow ups are the driver rolling a ■■■
Usually smoke ready made when I’m driving but if I have to do a rollie then absolutely adjust speed accordingly

Mercedes for the win!
Tells you the speed of the vehicle in front.
you beat me to it! i like checking the speeds of the Pallet Networks guys that go bombing past me on the A34 early hours
Pretty sure our 72 plate Actors brake lights do not come on with the retarder. I use mine all the time and other drivers are suddenly up my arse. We get a good bonus for using it.
I’m told the Tesco drivers are slow to deliberately avoid a second run. We get our double runs planned at the start and if we get a run finished early we go home early.

If the trailer says “Speed limited to 50mph” and the tractor is and does do 56 on the limiter…
Isn’t that misleading to another trucker in particular who might decide to do a reasonable overtake also on the limiter, then finding themselves high and dry when that 6mph overtake turns into an elephant race?
Perhaps the time has come for things to “do wot it sez on the tin”? - nothing more, nothing less…
wouldn’t think bulb removal would work. I believe the filiment in a traditional bulb breaks differently when cold than when hot which is why accident investigators can tell if bulbs were lit or not in an accident. don’t know how this stands with newer LEDs though
that is correct about accident investigation and they can tell if bulbs were on or not
ummm it must be me but i tend to find that the gap closing between me and the vehicle in front tends to indicate that they are going slower than me regardless of what their initial speed was. works the same way round as well if they are getting further away from me then i tend to find they are going faster no matter what silly stickers they have on the trailer
