It is a lot cheaper than “Buying” Holiday, that daftest notion ever one can be offered at work…
Now that the government are going to pay the self employed on the basis of their last 3 years of tax returns…could be interesting for those that fiddled the books to pay less tax as not to earning much, well maybe karma is about to pay them back.

Plus when.you factor in you just phone your mortgages company and they have to.give you a 3 month break from payments. Prob be better off money wise and health wise.

theres an option with most lenders if youve not defaulted on payments for a few years and are also up to date with them of taking a gap year type of thing and you get one year off which is tagged onto the end of the term.
you wont get offered it,but its quite probable you will be entitled to it if you tell them you want to take advantage of it.
My Mrs will take 80% as she’s self employed and as from today cannot work but as of yet the government aren’t helping her !!

Under the strange circumstances we now have going on a 3 or 4 day week for 3 or 4 days pay would have to be acceptable for a while.
However working for a reduced daily or hourly rate for hours worked is an absolute no, no.
You do know that the 80% is only offered if your firm put you on furlough, basically your firm have to prove they would make you redundant because of this virus then they could apply for the wages subsidy. If they can’t prove that you would be redundant then it’s SSP all the way for you.
