£60k truck driving job

What do you think of this?

Basic salary of £33500 then night out money and bonuses and food allowance and 20 hours a week overtime and its possible to earn well over £40k. Enough hours and over a grand a week is doable to earn knocking up towards £60k a year.

It’ll be for the green brigade I imagine, as it clearly states the number 1 logistics company in the ad.

Lol

Any job where you can realistically earn £50k let alone £60k would not be advertised, any vacancies would be filled by recommendations from trusted current employees, and there would be enough sharp as a tack walk ins who realised the place was a gold mine to make any shortfall in numbers, they could cherry pick, never in a hundred years would they need to advertise.

In other words the £60k bit is complete and utter ■■■■■■■■.

If I wanted to do 72 hours a week every week I would gross £52k a year. Obviously would need a fair amount of break and or poa to keep working hours down but if you want to live at work it’s possible even on the not so great hourly rates that we work for.

That’s right,I was talking to a car Transporter driver who can earn this but working five and six days, maximum hours, no downtime, working in all weather’s and nights out four or five nights.

As my old grandma used to say, there are no pockets in funeral shrouds.

People might want to reflect on this a moment.

There are a handful of drivers where I work who earned north of £60k + expenses last year, but these are really special fruitloops tbh, the type who’d work the 2 minute silence and who work every shift to the maximum allowable minute day in day out, week in week out. Curiously they’re the same ones who have their fuel tanks drained regularly due to their insistence on parking in lay-bys at bang on their 15/13.

Fair play to them I say. While these twonks are doing it I’m not getting asked to.

No more than 9 points…

But it does not say you earn 60k. It says between 33.5 to 60 which probably in the real world means earning about 40k for doing a lot of hours.

Another agency scam. They can post-you will earn 30-200K.But in life you will earn 31K

the nodding donkey:
No more than 9 points…

It’s obvious they only want quality drivers  9 points my arse!

It you Ltd on Blue chip company work in the midlands and your shift patterns include every weekend £50000 yes, £60000 would be pushing it.

They are…

Devious little bastids these agency monkeys. The 60k will be calculated by working maximum hours on every OT shift available on nights. All Saturdays, Sundays and all bank holiday shifts.

They also wouldn’t be scratching around taking on drivers with 9 points !!
