49th transpennine run

Can anyone tell me what time the old wagons set off from birch services on sunday morning.

You sometimes get vehicles parked over night on the Saturday and they normally start leaving Birch Services around the 9am mark on the Sunday, also has some are leaving there are still more arriving.

I cannot find my latest HCVS Trans-Pennine Run Manchester To Harrogate Rally programmes of 2012-2016  :unamused:
They are around somewhere…

But I’ve got some older programmes, all of which give a timetable of the progress that the historic lorries, motorcoaches, buses, etc make along
the route to the Oatlands Stray,Oatlands Drive,Harrogate. The last few programmes are austerity, and the last glossy and more informative one is
2009,and gives a diagram of the route with times when the historic motor vehicles reach the locations.

Start from Birch M62 Services,Middleton, is 7.30 AM,Heywood @ 7.45 AM,Rochdale @ 8.15 AM,Todmorden @ 8.45 AM,Halifax @ 9.15 AM,Shelf @ 9.45 AM,Bradford @10 AM,Shipley @ 10.15 AM,Guiseley @10.45 AM,Otley @ 11 AM,Harrogate @ 11.30 AM.

NOTE:After each location it says ‘onwards’.

I’d say that this is an approximate guide. It is best to get confirmation from this piece of information taken from the Historic Commercial Vehicle
Society website:-
