most of our drivers keep a check on their hours,but usually get told by management they have calculated it wrong.i’m sure a previous office person said you could log on somewhere to check to your hours…surely not?
If the company has its tachographs analysed by e.g. Tachomaster then yes, you can be given a log-on which will allow you to see reports on your WTD and drivers’ hours.

If by chance the company found themselves in front of a TC the 48 hour average could easily be used against them and make matters worse. I have seen it numerous times. If action is taken against the O licence this could affect the drivers.
However - it is the operators responsibility so as you say if the company doesn’t care why should a driver.
