Does anyone the Law on breaks, say if you finish at 20.00 and you are due a 24,45,66 hour break can the company that you are working for make start from the time you take the card out ie, 20.00 that evening or can you insist it starts from the next day say 08.00 or 09.00,
It starts from when you begin your daily rest period which will be extended into your weekly rest and that is when you finish your shift. So finish at 20:00 tonight, start at 20:00 Friday for a 24 or 17:00 Saturday for a 45. You have no legal standing to insist it starts from any other time.
