43 'ers

Heres one of ours before we moved to Volvo early ninetys.This truck was LHD on air and ran out of Southampton ( Davies International ) all over europe pulling a frigo.

Now that is when lorry building reached its peak, from that point on they have tried to improve on perfection…and failed :laughing:

Just look at how smooth the lines are, everything blends in perfectly, the cab was not the biggest, but there was a place to put everything you needed inside, the driving position was spot on and the mirrors gave the best view from any lorry ever. The best bit was under the cab though, that wonderful V8, I’d prefer a 450 to the 500 as it was much less problematic and if the pump was set up properly a good 450 would eat 500s for breakfast :sunglasses:

The Topline Streamline V8 3 series get my vote as the best lorry ever made :wink:

Yeah I agree, a four wheeler always looks better (unless a bonnet is involved) but all the same, that’s a proper tool :wink:

DEFINATELY!!! But, if a tractor unit must have a 3rd axle, it should be at the back!! deffo a ‘tag’ over a ‘mid’:wink:
