Hi just started doing a lot more hours, anyhow company software flagged me for doing 3 drives over 9hr’s 2 were on on a monday 9h37 and a friday 9h04 had a weekly rest from friday to sunday then another drive of 9h48, finished my shift around 10pm
I thought that after I had my weekly rest I could do another 9hr+ drive but office tell me that week is classed monday 00.00 to sunday 24.00 and alot of drivers fall foul of this, its a PITA because I thought I was getting on top of these hours malarky, it could cost me dearly the 4/5 infrigments in as many month’s if i get a pull from vosa
To add to this scenario I had 4 reduced daily rests the following week because I forgot about the reduced one on the Sunday although has soon as i realised this on thursday morn after about 45min drive i had a 5hr rest, i know it was to late but at least it will show vosa I am not up to anything dodgy, any idea’s what I should put on the back of my printed tacho’s

In my opinion it makes not one iota of difference what you write on a chart/printout, if you had four reduced daily rest periods between weekly rest periods you’ll get an infringement for it.
To be honest you wasted your time having a 5 hour rest period, once you’ve started work it’s too late to make the daily rest period any longer.
Pretty much up the creek without a boat never mind a paddel, hopefully no tugs for nxt 6months, although my card goes back 9 month
To late now just have to learn from my mistakes

I could be wrong but as long as you’ve got a fairly clean card I doubt anyone would be interested after 28 days.

That would be nice, a one month countdown is better than a 6 month countdown.
A heads up for anyone just starting out, always keep an accurate record of your hours worked/driven and rest and don’t listen to the bods in the office saying you need to be here or there as soon as possible because you will never be there quick enough for them, look after no.1
