Hi guys new to the world of trucking… I am working in southern Ireland and was wondering if anyone knows where i can buy a 24v air fryer as cant find any here in Ireland… I dont want to use the inverter reason the cost thanks for any help with this matter.
Not sure there is such a thing ? Welcome to Trucknet, maybe someone else can help you ?
Regards John.
An air fryer is about 1,500 watts so if you mean one with a cigarette lighter plug then all you are going to fry is your dashboard.
Thanks guys… I will just stick with mini gas stove… Lol
I worked with a guy about 20 years ago, he had a chip pan in the cab and used to fry everything in the cab…… I kid you not.
His nickname was Black Bob.

The smell alone!
There is only one Black Bob
just get an inverter, yes I agree they can be expensive but in the long run it’s more than worth it. If you change trucks it’s simple for a mechanic to refit it. I’d never be without one now, more than likely paid for itself already on the amount of 10p self made hot drinks I’ve had using the kettle instead of being robbed 3 quid for a coffee.

Wow, what an extremely concise and informative post, congratulations.
Just a shame that not one of the items you’ve kindly linked to are capable of frying chips,
Which is what the OP was requesting information about.
Just buy a slow cooker, if you have any imagination you can do wonders with it, not good if you like a load of greasy food,

I’m sure the OP is capable of finding his own prefered brand of airfrier . I was simply trying to show him how for less than the price of a factory fitted microwave that he could have so much more by buying an inverter .
Your contribution to the thread so far - seems rather lacking in help . If you need a hug - just ask .

Not very bright are you!
The OP specifically stated he didn’t want to use an inverter but you posted a link to one!
Don’t need a hug thanks, only my wife is welcome to do that but it was very kind of you to offer.

Neither of us claimed to be “smart guys”, it was you who didn’t understand the question posted by the OP.
You’re the “smart guy” who clearly is under the impression that purchasing an inverter ( an item the OP specifically stated he didn’t want) would be capable of frying food if he connected it to a microwave, toaster or kettle.
Go on then “smart guy”, I can wait…………
I doubt such a thing exists. An air fryer (basically a small electric oven) will have a meaty draw if you want your food cooked within the same time frame as a 240V device you’d plug into the wall at home. That would kill your batteries pretty quick, although I expect the wiring would melt/fuses would pop first.
Think of how long a 24V kettle takes to boil just enough water for a mug of tea. What wattage are they? I estimate around 300 watts? My air fryer at home is 2100 watts by way of a comparison. Air fryers make a right old stink and need a window open otherwise the fat vapour coats everything close in a thin film of grease, also they are hard work to clean properly.
Wouldn’t it be easier just to stop at a chippy if you want some chips? There’s one on pretty much every street corner in urban areas.

To be fair the OP didn’t mention Chips. Just because he is in Ireland doesn’t mean everything has to be spuds . Air fryers do a lot more than chips

Yet another one that reads something and their brain thinks they’ve read something else!
I at no point said the OP wanted to use an air fryer to make chips, I stated that the 4 items that beefy whatshisface linked to weren’t capable of frying chips.
I merely alluded to the fact that he may want to use an air fryer for that purpose.
