Playing around in the yard today with the sat nav on my 2024 FH, ( 2 days old ) and it is already saying it needs an update!!
Apart from going to the dealer, I believe you can do it via a tethered phone to the internet.
Anyone done it?
I update my TomTom just by bringing it within range of the wifi router, but yes, a tethered phone should do, as long as the download doesn’t exceed your data allocation
No data limit, but the screen was just spinning.
I have 2 choices:
Try it again tomorrow, whilst on the phone to the dealer workshop, or
Call in when I am on my way back to the yard on friday.
Whenever my standalone Tomtom needs a (map) update, the size seems to be well in the gigabytes so will bring it home to get on to the fibre.
The 22 & 23 plate volvos we have theoretically have the user manual available on the touch screen, but needs to download before it’s available. I think only the 1st or 1st couple of times I have been able to make that work, any time since I have tried it never appears.
