We’re running a 2014 DAF XF106 4x2 tractor now with around 150 kkm on the clock and having major problems with the fuel injection system of the MX-13 engine. So far, the common rail manifold, some high-pressure pumps as well as several valves have been changed without success. Various fault codes still keep popping up on the dashboard and if the truck is shut down for a longer period of time it won’t start again. It doesn’t seem to run properly, either, showing power loss and irregular engine performance. Typical fuel system fault symptoms. Hence, DAF now has suggested that the fuel injectors should be replaced as a next possible remedy. The high cost of these plus labor makes us hesitant, however, since there doesn’t seem to be any guarantee that this will make the unit roadworthy again. Also, the validity of the DAF driveline guarantee for this seems to be questionable, despite the low mileage on the unit.
Anyone out there with similar experiences from the MX-13?
Thanks!
Best regs.
