Thinking of buying a fh13 520 with about 600.000 kms any thing i should look out for
Engine side plate on o/s. tend to leak coolant, check bottom corners for dried coolant or dampness when engine cold. If leaking and it’s original plate (green as rest of engine) it may need a new plate. Think it’s about a grand for Volvo to do one.
Also clutch release bearing can seize taking out fingers on pressure plate. Make sure it changes gear smoothly if an I shift and no strange squealing noises.

thats good advice, once the relese bearing starts to squeek even in a manual get the clutch changed as when the bearing does sieze it can self desruct and even crack the bell housing, having said that i would think at 600,000 it will have had a clutch if it is manual

I,m looking at the same engine but in a Magnum, just fancy something a little different
make sure they are no active fault codes on the dash brake ecu,engine ect,may cost a bit to fix
