I read yesterday they were suspending it, does that mean it will go back to the way it was before, for the time being ?
Having not been to the US since this started, I don’t understand this 168 hr thing but it was easy enough when it was just a 34 hr reset, although I always did a 36 to cover me coming back into Canada.
Just read on another US site with link to US H&S that the suspension starts with immediate effect but it will take a little while for the Elog companies to update.
Also just read that the DOT in New Mexico are not accepting the suspension until they get it in writing although this is a federal change.
We got a message from our safety and compliance dept saying that it was all done and dusted now.
Just got the official word from our safety dept via peoplenet, it is effective as of now but will take a week to change the elogs system. 1.00am to 5.00 inclusive 34 hour breaks are cancelled and the 168 hour rule is no longer in effect, take as many 34 hour resets as you can.
