Great thanks but is there any reason? Are they good to drive in? Aren’t they a bit OTT?

It’s all down to personal preference really. I personally don’t like steel toe caps. I find these better because they are light and comfy to drive in. They also are lot durable and offer ankle support. I also work in a muddy site so are ideal for that. The only difference is mine are water resistant.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your choice they seem like good boots.

They will be ok but probably won’t be the comfiest . I have tried all sorts of safety boots over the years . As now new to driving didn’t want anything too heave so went for composite toe and midsole. Splashed out on the dewalt Pro lite from screwfix . Comfiest boots I have ever had !!and alot lighter than the standard steel toe boots. If you can stretch to a bit more I would well recommend!

When I was on the ambulance service the issued boots were not the comfiest. I bought my own safety shoes and went with Altbergs. They were expensive but well worth the money.

Not sure if they’re suitable for the HGV life though.
