13 injured as coach and lorry collide in dual carriageway crash
Crash on northbound A1 between Buckden and Brampton, Cambridgeshire, at 5.35 this morning
Involved Redwing Coach with two drivers and 45 passengers traveling from London to Newcastle and a Tesco lorry
Two seriously injured, plus another 11 suffering more minor injuries
When i first heard this i thought the Coach must have hit the Tesco truck from the rear but no damage so i’, guessing head on?
according to TV news the lorry had already crashed and then the coach came over a brow in the road, in the dark, and hit the front of it head on.

I went passed the scene about mid morning. The lorry was on its side on the north bound carriageway but facing south!. I first thought he may have crossed the central reservation but there was no damage at all to the Armco so maybe he jacknifed and rolled it before being hit by the bus. It was a Tesco lorry by the way, probably from the Peterborough depot.
With experienced TN UK.CSI officers on route, it has to be asked a how a Tesco lorry can crash at the ridiculous low speed they set their limiters to.
