Hi everyone,
Can you help ? I have a 12 v inverter and I’m a bit concerned about
Running it off one of the two battery’s on my truck, has I know it’s
Not good for the battery.
Is there away to pull 12v off the two battery’s 24v. Evenly so has not
to damage one of the battery’s ■■
For now I keep changing from one batt to the other to try and
Spread the load.
I can’t afford to buy 24v inverter has the penny’s are getting rare
Should be a spec plate on your inverter check it to see what it will draw in amps at max, then have a look on line for a 24 to 12 volt dropper that will cope. Connecting your 12 volt inverter to a 12 volt socket if available could cause trouble, 12 volt sockets are supplied by a factory fit inverter usually of limited power output.
You are correct in not wanting to connect any 12 volt device to one of your batteries.
You may be better of selling the 12 volt inverter and getting a 24 volter.
Sorry for the delay to reply !
I think I’ve sorted it i been told to run two cables from the
Positive and two from the negative and then connect to them
It will pull from both battery’s at 12 v.
Thanks for your help it was very much appreciated
Cheers Aide
