Here is how it should be.
I think there is a equal opinion that the rules work, and don’t work.
It appears drivers are powerless to act, if they do act they’re out of a job.
Right that’s understood.
In that case employers should not discipline drivers who have little accidents, like bumping the truck or damaging air lines.
It should be understood by all that drivers that have accidents were tired, and its not there fault.
The same could be said if asked by the police a road accident.
You guys may be super drivers who can work the maximum hours, good for you.
I’m somebody who wants to work legally and stick to the book.
Obviously in a cut throat world its difficult to do the right thing.
Ross v stobart:
The law as I know it states that a drivers rest can be reduced to 9 hours 3 times a week, but who can decide without offence,or offending.Goes back to trampers again, and bounces back to none trampers. Its not a big issue, with trampers.
Ross v stobart:
In case your mistaken this us about drivers abusing the use of POA.
Well not according to your post its about EU drivers hours regulations
your asking questions about one regulation EU driving hours, of rest which as nothing to do with RTD working time, and before you say POA is in the EU regulations but its called availability
“availability” defined in Article 3(b) of Directive
2002/15/EC
so if you want to post about RTD then say so not change the post to suit your question
It was originally a post about who has the last word on reducing a drivers rest.
It got diverted to other subjects.
I’m sure a person mentioned poa and it whent of track from there.
I think I know the,answer.
Its the boss who has the last say.
If the,driver says he,wants 11 off because he’s tired it’ll go,against the,driver.
Drivers need to very flexible.
I heard chatter that drivers thought it,was the driver.
There is no legal rule about who has the ultimate say.

That would simply give you another excuse to whine like a baby though wouldn’t it
Vino like a bambino.
That’s a great comment.
Thanks for your input.
You must be a real trucker and not a steering wheel attendant.
What is a steering wheel attendant.
Was it you who said this.
Are you saying that drivers are not professional.
I know drivers who obey the rules, they enjoy there job.
I enjoy my job
I like driving professionally and with courtesy to other road users.
You should try it,it might make you feel better.
Seems to be your the one doing the wining
I don’t think you have any idea of what your talking, about Mr tachograph.
But no hard feelings at least you make a good comedian.
Happy trucking sir.
