10 hours shifts - can you do 4 over two weeks?

Jenson Button:
Nope aint no troll - since i have had to do this bloody DCPC lark it has left me with too many unexplaied questions, and my dad was pushing me to be the DCPC trainer at our place, and i decided against it. But now i have done my 5 lots of 7 hours to be honest I am in a further muddle than I was before, and I do only post once a week or so, because my world is mad, and Sat and Sunday is about the only time I aint having to do a 1000 other things.

Alot of the information i get on here is fab, and I wont say i dont appreciate it - but my folks are still on at me about being our companies trainer and to be honest i am scared to death that they will push me into it. So I am doing as much learning as i can

i’ll do it.

OK, fair enough, there have been a few troll posts and you seemed to disbelieve all your trainer had told you, in essence, that maybe isn’t such a daft idea. If you want to be a trainer you need to be confident in your chosen subject and the swerve balls that drivers will throw in

I apologise about the troll suggestion, and wish you luck in what you decide.

I do understand quite a few of the rules, but whether I could stand in front of a classroom full of drivers is another thing.

If your parents want you to be the company trainer, then you need to ask for some sort of train the trainer training.

Good Luck With It!

i agree, we need to get rid of the rules, then we can work as much or as little as we want.

Rules are for fools!

Harry, you sound like an O/D

Cheers WN - but I do get myself in a right old mess. My dad is the old school and is a right task master - he expects me to know everything he does - fact is he is 74 and been driving since he was a kid, i am 27, been in the industry for about 3 years… know nothing… no one at our place will help me - cause they think I should know it all - my dad just ■■■■■■■■ me for asking “daft questions” and I am doing as much stuyding as i can… even the courses I have done - have had trainers that dont know the subject inside out, and always say “we will come back to that but never do” - and this is honestly the only place I can ask and get pointers from.
But I do understand why you think i may have been a troll - but no just a thick ■■■■ who is trying
a. not to make a fool of themselve or b. be disinherited by my dad who thinks my older brother - a proffesional footballer in some crappy low div is going to be the prodical son and take over the reins when he finally quits.

I was taught by a bloke who sounds like your Dad and as I am older we maybe did learn more, maybe there was less to learn. There certainly wasn’t as much bullshine.

That other racing bloke whose Dad was a haulier had to make his own way in life. Do you see much of David Coulthard?

PM me if you want any special help, but generally the more forum heads who look at a problem the better :stuck_out_tongue:

If you have done five DCPC courses and are asking these questions - I would like to know who you did the courses with. Come on, spill the beans. Name and shame them then everyone can avoid them cos they obviously aren’t very good.

I have had lads in straight from the Armed Forces, never dealt with the rules at all and after one single course know the answers to what you have been asking across various posts.

This just proves some trainers that are currently delivering DCPC shouldn’t be :unamused:
