Hi, and welcome to the forum. Some folk will tell you it’s close to impossible to get a start. Others, me included, will tell you that you’ll get a start if you persist and are prepared to accept “hard work” (tippers, skips, multidrop). This assumes that you can present yourself properly and interview correctly. So having said all that, this is what you need to do:
Medical - at any doctor. Ring round for the best price/availability. You will need to take form D4 with you. Download it or get it from any decent trainer.
Send your D4 with a licence application (D2) and both parts of your current licence to Swansea; you are applying for Provisional C. Tick Provisional D as well (bus - may come in handy at some point and costs nothing).
Prepare for your theory tests. I suggest you use an online system for this though some trainers offer face to face training for this.
When your licence comes back, book your theory tests online (many trainers will do this for you). You need Multiple Choice, Hazard Perception and Mod 2 Case Studies.
By now you should have chosen your trainer. Book assessments or book on rock solid recommendation. If you dont have recommendation, make sure you visit the trainer, look at the trucks and facilities before parting with money. There are some bad people out there! Once you’ve passed the theory tests, contact your trainer to arrange practical training and test. You will also need to train for Mod 4 (prac cpc) and most trainers will organise this to coincide with the driver training.
If you want Class 1 (artic, CE all the same thing) you can arrange this to start about 3 weeks (subject to availability) after passing your Class 2 (rigid, C all the same thing). It is impossible to go straight through - despite what some websites would have you believe.
Lastly, keep us informed on here - training diaries are always good to read.
Best of luck, Pete
Lets hope you have a better grasp of the adult English language when you write a cover letter with your CV to your prospective employer.
I am happy to be proved wrong but the OP is so full of text speak it doesn’t come across well.
If I am wrong (debatable), the advice Pete gives above is spot on

(Excuse off topic…)
Funnily enough I got told straight by DVLA the other day that junior employees are only allowed to copy and paste pre-prepared chunks of text into letters of reply, and “this may lead to the letter not reading coherently from beginning to end” !!
Compared to the outstanding letter I got from them (am going to frame) telling me that a prison box looks like a fire engine at first glance and the V5 must say what it looks like so they will send one back saying “Truck” colour “Yellow” and they therefore will enclose a new V5 because they cannot modify it as it doesn’t meet their requirements for motor caravan, enclosing a V5 saying Red Fire Engine, I find the original post fairly easy to understand.
And at least there was a hello, a please, a thank you, and a bit of concern for etiquette! If he changes his mind about truck driving he is probably over qualified to string some likely paragraphs together in Swansea.

Did it cross your mind that English may not be the OP’s first language - if this is the case then i think he got his point across very well. I really thought the idea of this forum was to help people with advise - good post Pete as always

Thank you for contacting www.hgvtraining.co.uk - we would like to talk to you about your training.
Hi Mo,
Thank you for your time this morning regarding gaining your category C+E (class 1) HGV licence
Below is a full course description which details how we take you through your HGV training course to a category ‘C+E’ level.
First of all, we need to register you and send out the starter pack. In their starter pack you will receive Medical and Provisional Licence forms.
Once the medical is signed off, you need to send it with your provisional licence forms and driving licence to the DVLA in Swansea, and they will send you back a provisional entitlement to drive Cat C vehicles.
The next step is to take the Theory Test. This consists of 100 multiple choice questions on the computer and a Hazard Perception Test. You will also receive in the starter pack, software to practice the full Theory Test, until you feel comfortable and are ready to take the test. When your licence comes back from Swansea, our Training Operations department will book the theory tests for you at a time and location convenient to yourself.
All confirmation will be sent directly to you. Once you have passed the Theory Test, we can book you in for the practical training, which on average is 2-4 weeks after their Theory Test.
We have a network of 45 premier training centres across the UK which means we can offer you training on a national basis. As all of our trainers are DSA approved, this also means we can offer you the highest quality of training too. The practical training course lasts 10 days (with a short break in-between) providing you with the commercial skills necessary to achieve your LGV category C, and C+E licences.
Once you’ve passed your test, the examiner will send your licence back to Swansea and the full Class 1 entitlement will be added. The recruitment department who work with companies including HSS Hire, Enterprise PLC and Milestone will then proceed to help you into employment.
The total cost for the training course is £2199.00 including VAT and discounts. Keep in mind we also have a pay as you train scheme available for your convenience which is completely interest free.
In summary the training includes the following:
Licence & Medical forms
Theory test training software
Theory test
10 days of DSA approved practical tuition
DSA practical test x2
All vehicle hire, fuel costs and insurance
Services of our recruitment department
If you have any queries then please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0207 636 6744 or via email.
Kind Regards

The HGV Training Centre
Need your help guys thank you.
I get the impression they are a broker?

Hi yas4u,
Of course, most people would probably want to see the vehicles and meet the instructors BEFORE they pay any money, or give their card details, so PLEASE phone the company and ask them for directions to the centre in Appleton.
Please consider that any reputable training school will welcome this type of enquiry and will have no problem with you wanting to see the vehicles and meet the instructors first.
If it were me, I would want to actually visit the centre before making any kind of commitment.
If you wish to hand over your money before you’ve seen anything or had a conversation face to face with a person at the centre, then that’s your choice.
Good luck with your training.
Comparisons …
Broker - I know who they use in Loughborough Leics to do their training so I got some prices etc
LGV C practical course only - nothing else included
The actual school = 5 days with test on day 5 £1075
Broker = 4 days with test on day 4 £1149
So that’s one day less training for £74 extra !!!
1075 less 115 test fee = 960 divided by 5 = 192 per day for training
4 days at 192 = 768 plus test fee 115 = 883
Broker pays school 883 out of the 1149 so makes £266 according to my calculations

But it beats the hell out of driving a truck, making £266 per candidate for a few phone calls !!!
Depends if you have morals .
And I bet there is a whole heap of "extras " too.
As all of our trainers are DSA approved
Ask them to prove it.
Better still, find a “real” trainer, visit and - if happy - book direct.
