You can slow a truck down to just a few mph using the retarder. A quick dab of the brakes to bring it to a dead stop won’t be of much use If the numpty behind is waiting for brake lights instead of monitoring closing speeds.
Not that it matters in this case, the car driver didn’t hit the trucks and the bike would’ve ploughed into them regardless as he was driving like a prick.
All the decent trucks with a decent exhaust brake, the brake lights come on when you use it.
1 - are you trying to say that pile of scrap that you drive is the only decent make of truck out there?
2 - most trucks don’t light the brake lights by using the exhaust brake
3 - it only does it on those where the exhaust brake is activated by the brake pedal
1 - No, volvos are good too
2 - Mine does = decent truck
3 - Nope, mine is activated on a stalk right of the steering wheel with 5 stages of viciousness.

1 - never driven a Volvo, but, IIRC, the exhaust brake is a button on the floor
2 - you drive a Scrapia ■■■■■ extension = crap truck
3 - that is the retarder on the stalk, the exhaust brake is operated by the brake pedal
the retarder DOES NOT activate the brake lights, the exhaust brake does on a Scrapia as you have to press the brake pedal to make it work
hope this helps

This is the type of biker, and don’t we see them every day, that gets the accolade of “Organ donor”!
They get a bad name for the very few responsible bikers.
It ■■■■■■ me off some what when you constantly see the “think bike” messages when in actual fact most ride like complete bell ends.

not all, and that’s a bit sweeping, in much the same way as the daft rider had his bike recovered, with a brush.
If you want to stop from speed, use the front brake, the rear brake is only a comfy foot rest when you are at a standstill.

the stalk retarder on my Super Scania
DOES activate the brake lights WITHOUT pressing the brake pedal. I’m telling you it does, trust me, I drive it every day and night!!!
Nearly had the Keystone Cops there.
