Most of these shunter’s used to be fleet wagons on the road every day. I think its great keeping them as shunters as it shows what the old fleet used to be like.

There was one a Sainsbury’s the once, and old DAF CF85, that Tibbet and Britten used to operate when they had part of the Sainsbury’s contract, it was still in full T & B / Sainsbury;s colours, great golden odkie from the late 90’s.

Here’s a brave ex Joseph Hoyle’s Defender looks to have been going down fighting.
Taken 3rd Sept.1991 in F.C.Concrete’s,Alfreton Rd.Derby yard.
Wonder if it survived the attack ?. Mike.

As you will all know its a Borderer not a Defender
but it still looks to have been doing a stirling job.Mike.
