I worked for CERT in the warehouse and the transport manager bought this from down south somewhere, someone said that it was Ex Watneys but not sure. Photo taken in the mid 80,s

Has this one got a Heath-Robinson ‘cab to catwalk’ fabrication made up? Hard to make out.

Our yard shunter In Veurne…

Is it a sign of getting older when the yard shunters look modern?!

This was lent to the company I work for as a demonstrator. While they had it, the lender went bust, so it was kept.
a year or so later, the front axle snapped. It’s been sat there 4 years or more now. (so I am told)

OK, Ive moved the pictures to this thread!
Caught this nice example today at One Stop in Brownhills, excuse the pictures done on my phone!

Tuffnells Oldham depot May 2009

quality pics , never really thought about how those trailers get moved about makes a difference to looking back all the time !

It sure is a lot easier nosing them in than backing them in although at some depots they still try to be clever and reverse them in which takes longer.

Ulceby. Escaped from the yard to take the ex-leasers down to Sibsey.

Not bad spec for a shunter!
