From past experience, the reason these older trucks are stolen is that the thieves have a similar truck that is damaged or otherwise off the road. They will either take the parts they need or swap the plates etc.

Judging by the bonnet, that’s a Stralis.

Ok, but if I was that way inclined I’d be targeting a new Scania/Volvo hooked up to a load of cigs or spirits, quick sale and turnover, export the motor under false plates…that was my point.
The new Scania/Volvo would definitely have a tracker fitted so this guys aren’t stupid also there is a high chances the know the truck/owner/driver too well so they are sure of what they are doing.
