It’s starting to look like I should have put money on Holland from the start instead of England .
Only caught part of the second half and the penalty shoot out last night while in the pub, where Krull the Toon keeper saved the day for them. Did they play as good and sharp as they have been or did they just wing the 0 0 draw?
Nah they were all over Costa Rica. How the hell they didn’t score in the 90 mins I’ll never know. The keeper played another blinder tho. Must say I was surprised Van Gaal subbed Cillessen at the end. I’ve always thought it’s the keeper who’s been busiest who does well in the shoot outs, and here’s van Gaal sending on some bloke who’s stone cold! But then what do I know? Not as much as van Gaal obviously! Fair play to him, it was a big call.
I’ve said from the start I fancy Argentina this year. The semi final with Holland should be a belting game.
Didn’t realise Kruul came on as sub. If he goes on to play in the semi and then the final, does well, and subsequently attracts interest from other clubs, no doubt Ashley will again sell one of our best players and assets to the highest bidder without replacing him . (re. Johan Cabaye)
Van Gaal said he replaced Cillessen in the dying seconds of extra time solely for penalties because Krul is taller and has a greater reach. He also said that Cillessen will start the next game, no question.
Why did Holland change tactics and play negative defensive football the other night against the Argies??
Germany v Argentina the two International sides I ■■■■■■ hate for obvious reasons. I’ve never forgiven that little sh Maradona for 1986, and the Krauts… Where do I start
So I couldn’t give a ■■■■ who wins it now, roll on Euro 16

I don’t know why they did that. It doesn’t suit their game and it plainly doesn’t work for them. See the final 4 years ago for more details.
As for the final, I’ve fancied Argentina from the start, but Germany the other night looked unstoppable. Mind, Brazil were utter ■■■■■■ Mascherano will have his work cut out against that lot.
I don’t care who wins either, just want to see a good game.
One thing… I’ve been wondering if whoever wins, will they get to keep the trophy? Both teams have already won it twice, and a precedent was set with the Jules Rimet trophy when Brazil won for the 3rd time.
