Window Cleaning

W5 glass cleaner in Lidl is excellent gear

I’ve been getting some great results with a wetwipe and old sock.

Spray bottle with a 50 50 mix of vinegar and water

This. It’s pointless buying any of the proper products until quarry and tip wheelwashes go back to just washing the wheels and not spraying liquid limescale up the cab sides. The old flooded rumble strip was the best.

Wheel wash water is brutal have to clean side windows and mirrors properly after every time over one.
The lime in the water makes it almost impossible to get rid of water spots.
I’ve not been to a tip in a couple of weeks and all the mirrors need is a quick wipe down every few days.

Heard sandpaper works very well…

Mr muscle window cleaner followed by carlack sealant.

Brilliant stuff, water just pours off windows and makes then easier to keep clean.

Oops my bad thought we where in euphemism territory.

In that case for clean windows I use a rubber glove, pack of sliced ham, bottle of mayo and a snorkel.

I too find that full gimp mode gets the best results, and even if it doesn’t you are still in your own private Idaho and don’t care about window smears.

I don’t know what the regular drivers of the trucks I drive use, but it does a fine job.

The actual windows don’t bother me it’s just the mirrors guess if it’s ya own truck and ya living in it then it must be a pain in the ■■■… I wouldn’t recommend nilglass h3 though especially for the price!! would have better luck spitting on the glass and licking it clean…
