Will the virus change the way people work?

I think a lot of people, even those who don’t particularly like people, will want to go back to work in an office eventually. Only difference might be if they have a long commute.

Have tried working from home and unless you have a dedicated space with absolutely no interruptions, its quite tricky to stay motivated (out of the kitchen) and then theres access to the files, paperwork etc. That was in an IT job where almost everything was on-line.

Now, about remotely driving trucks and forklifts.

It will change people from

“pretending to be ill to get benefits”
to
“Pretending to be fit - to keep their jobs”…

:bulb: :bulb: :bulb: :bulb: :bulb:

Who’s gonna be worse off at the end of this?

Those that were on benefits beforehand…
Self-Employed and wealthy people who’ve fiddled their taxes all their lives as standard…
and most of all
MINIMALIST workers who’ll barely turn up to earn their contracted “Salaries”…

The time has come for the strong-work-ethic workforce to get up, come out, and write their own tickets.

OLD SYSTEM:
Boss: How low a payrate will you take to be offered this job?
Applicant: I’ll work more hours for minimum wage, boss. I’m desperate!

NEW system::
Boss: You’ve got the job, by just having turned up for duty. I’ll need you to work 55-60 hours pw btw, rather than the contract-stated 5 days, which implies you’ll be getting a 40 hour week…
Applicant: I’ve got an interview with your rival down the street. Mustn’t be late! - Bye!

Or perhaps they will realise just how fragile life is and go on to enjoy their lives more and sod work…No such thing as a strong work ethic, just brainwashing from your family and peers.
