And now I will tell you why. Because after getting loaded at Jenkins on Liverpool docks earlier, I called at Tesco Litherland just off Dunningsbridge Road, and got 8 hot BBQ chicken drumsticks for £3 to enjoy on my break.

I have to take into consideration your low self esteem.
I could have said “go top yourself”… But if you live in Wales… things are already grim enough for ya.
Is it still illegal in Wales, for people to be no brighter than the weather?
■■■■ poor attempt to goad me, bit like the ■■■■ poor attempt the OP continually makes in starting a topic, at least you’re both in good company I suppose…
You weren’t on my mind dear… which makes that so funny… even a Taff would laugh.

Beat that ■■■■■■■…
I got a bag of pasta for 50p, the posh stuff. And I’m great cos I gave up driving and just tell drivers what to do instead.
I left coach driving to do a job i had wanted to do for ages and i enjoy it (most days)
I prefer the vehicles we have n the company (mainly scanias, few mercs) as i feel comfortable in them, knowing what does what etc etc, but of we get a hire truck in, i do want at least 1 go in it just to sample it.
As for would choice of truck make me choose a job, certainly not, i can not take the truck home and help provide for the family. Aslong as the job pays well and the hours suit my needs, i could not really care less (aslong as it was safe and legal and worked)

I’m actually genuinely jealous, but then again I’m frikkin’ starving at the moment, 45 minutes to deliver a takeaway! Bloody scandalous if you ask me!!

Think you have made an error with your spelling. You have put " I’ve got " instead of " I’m ".

Between you & me mate, I also got 8 Tesco own brand Mars bar’s for a quid too. (Keep it on the low Reef, wouldn’t want folk to think I’m giving it large )

Definitely not Polish.

I wish you would listen to me.
I’ve told you before whats gone on in those particular bogs in the past (just to stress …not speaking from experience here. )
I’d give them a wide berth if I were you, you could innocently go in for a ■■■■, get jumped on… and come out with an arse like a funnel

Well actually I don’t really think that I am so great but this should provoke a decent debate off. As a lorry driver, can your job satisfy your aspirations. Does a new truck or a certain make of truck make you feel better. Is the make of truck an actual influence on taking a lower paid job? Interested to hear from any sensible answers to any of these questions. Should you have a higher opinion of yourself in order to achieve a better job or higher pay.
If anyone enjoys driving, over long distances, through great scenery. Then what ‘other’ job could possibly satisfy that ‘aspiration’ ?.
As for pay and type of truck see above. It’s arguably better to compromise on the hourly rate to get the right type of work depending on choice.
While in general premium kit can usually be taken for granted on long haul/ international type work anyway.Although I’d prefer to drive a decent old school premium 1980’s truck now than a new automated techno heap regardless.
A very common message I get is from people in their 40/50s and even 60s who always wanted to be a lorry driver but were talked out of it by friends and family thinking they are doing them a favor and they’re inevitably stuck in office jobs they hate having wished they followed their dream. Though many also after seeing mine and others videos take the leap into the unknown and get their license later in life and become drivers and every single one that’s messaged say it’s one of the best decisions they ever made.
I’m at an age now where my friends are rising high in their jobs, earning way way more than I ever will but I wouldn’t swap for a second, I’ve dreamed of doing this since I was a child, not many can ever say that. No its not always rosy and has its grim momenuts but good far outweighs the bad.
Trucks I can take or leave, dont have a favorite and while yes I’ve driven the flashiest trucks on the road I’ll enjoy this run down to Bari in Italy just as much in this big standard FH 500 as I would a blinged up 750. Well, I’ll enjoy it when I’m a bit better, still as rough as a ■■■■■ beagles arse

That’s actually fairly expensive for drumsticks. You’re clearly not an experienced Tesco bargain hunter! Come back when you have found an extra tasty cooked chicken reduced to £2.50. The holy grail of the bargain hunting world
Top tip - tomorrow afternoon around 2 is prime bargain hunting time in supermarkets
I’m happy nowadays to have a truck that stops and goes as it should (no awkward calls needed) and money in the bank on Friday…I’ve driven top of the range trucks and delivered top of the range cars all over Europe but do you know what■■? I’m happier now than I’ve been in the last 24 years and more relaxed…oh and my old daf is still on paper charts [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]
