Robroy, everyone can have their opinion and make random guesses as to what happened and who is in the right and who is wrong. Only some people can say what is right and wrong. You think for some strange reason that I am the lorry driver, well if thats what floats your boat then keep thinking it, it only proves that you are not a clever person like you would like everyone to think you are. Has it ever crossed you walnut that I may have just been there and witnessed everything that happened on that day, NO I didnt think it did. Now to give everyone something more constructive to talk about. The lorry driver was not trying to overtake anyone, He had already been harrassed by the Taxi driver about 500 yards further down the road, The taxi driver then tried undertaking the lorry and tucked himself away just inside the lorrys blind spot, The lorry driver had no way of knowing that the taxi was there. Now you can say what you want and try to be clever but it wont work because you have not seen the taxi drivers footage. The Taxi driver will not show his footage because it will incriminate him and show that he was driving like a total idiot. Now you can reply and say ho hey what ever you want but until the taxi driver uploads his footage, I suggest you all get your facts right before you start adding 2 + 2 and getting 7

You’re avin a larf.If the truck driver supposedly wasn’t ‘overtaking anyone’ then how do you explain what was going on from 0.47 - 1.06.

It seems clear enough that the muppet moved into lane 2 of the 2 lane dualled section as part of an impossible and pointless overtaking move.Which needed to be abandoned by 1.00 at the latest when 2 lane dual ends sign became clear.

I don’t think anyone is absolving the taxi of any blame, frankly, there’s no excuse at all for driving like that. However, the lorry driver isn’t completely blameless here. He tried to pull a maneuver he’d never do, he failed to keep an eye on his left mirror, he didn’t yield when it was obvious that things had gone wrong.
Put simply, this is two idiots who unfortunately wanted the same piece of road at the same time.

Taxi driver banned for life, + £10,000 fine - idiotic driving in the extreme.
Lorry driver 6 month ban, he should of backed off,
