Times are tough, it’s long eaton and £65 is £10 less than a week on dole.i also kno what DHL pay they’re own cos I seen they offer double 6th shift rate for December,which works out at &30 an hour
they aren’t nearly as tough as your employer/agency would have you believe 
should have asked for more fella.
The attitude of agency is take it or leave it,with lots of debt from divorce and lovely people from CSA I have to work any ■■■■■ that I can,like I say,happy days
I’m on the dfds heading to calais then stopping at antwerp for the night. Then tomorrow up to Germany for loading Friday. And that’s with an empty fridge from Chepstow
And getting paid peanuts for it…I’ll have them tonight at twelve
There are a lot of sarcastic posters on here don’t you lot ever think of the fact that to somebody who has no job or is part time £9.50 is good money and will maybe put a nice meal on the table. Eddie.

I’m just back this afternoon from Turin. I’m back in on Friday for a Zurich, that doesn’t need to be there until Monday Morning. Weekended in Switzerland then!

I am starting a shift at midday driving for DHL at M&S. Don’t know the shift length but do know I will get paid £9.50 an hour. After tax and NI, about £65 in my hand,happy days
That’s a great deal il be thinking of how lucky you are whilst I’m enjoying a hot meal and wine .

Lat new year eve but one was working for myself and got a call when on my way back to Elgin from Glasgow ‘any possibility of you helping us out as we have a panic job from Aberdeen to Heathrow, urgent ship spares to get on a flight to Singapore’ ok says I but double bubble for the job. Agreed, off I went and even got a double up from the same industrial estate to Manchester airport also at double rate. Listened to the bells and watching the fireworks at midnight passing Oxford, done both jobs and back in Elgin late on the first. Jobs a good un I thought until I got paid eons later … Normal rate. Ffs.Sorry, I was told we forgot to ask the customer for the rate increase !!! Not my problem, the agreement was with you not your customer … I’m still waiting for the balance…
That’s disgusting - I’ve never worked for agency but the more I read in here the less I’d ever be convinced to unless I had no choice . There’s an agency right on the a5 from junction 12 on the m6 always with posters in the windows desparate for hgv drivers and just in front of the window is a 14 plate Audi a3 and a 14 plate porshe 4x4!
Started at 8 last night should be finished about 6. Just another shift for us at our depot. Think all our stores are open today but are on Sunday hours.
Sat in my cabin (sorry Gatehouse).Got up at 04:30 for a 13 shift in an empty factory which shut down christmas eve, the next person i will see is the guard taking over tonight at 19:00. So far this festive period ive fell for:-
Christmas eve on days, Christmas day on nights, Boxing night, New years eve on days and today. 
Roll on the 13th January when I can do this dcpc so I can get back on the road
All I wanted for Christmas was a rope.

Delivering ambient today and back on chill tomorrow. I could have got a shift yesterday but I gambled flat rate for double or quits. Quits meaning no shift today. Bank holiday tomorrow too
