After that who knowsā ā ?
easy start this week 9am daventry
monday desk driving , tuesday burntwood on a route survey , wednesday and thursday loading ex.bremerhaven , friday ?
Got a cold so phoned in sick on Fridayā¦still feel dodgy so doubtful for Monday too.
Going to the Paul Ricard circuit, near Toulon, testing new drivers.
All great except I have to spend 4 days in a truck with another Truckie who I canāt stand.
He reckons 2 drivers canāt get further than Reims in one day from Norfolk, so as he plans the route we will stop at Reims. Iād rather do a few more hours on Monday and get their earlier.
Howver took Coffeholics advice and have bought an I Pod, so I can ignore him and donāt have to listen to dance music.
Wakefield reason no 386 why you should stay out of Yorkshire Mon to Fri this week.

Week starts Monday night this week and usually Gloucester with probable reload from Pershore.I say usually 'cos I could ask the office to know for sure but I like the excitement of not being ABSOLUTELY sure!
Gloucester it was! Checked the weather forecast before leaving the house Mon night, cold but clear maybe -2 through the night.Sitting in Wapping waiting to load it comes on the radio āAvoid ALL travel to Gloucestershire!ā Snow and abandoned cars blocking roads etc.Got a traffic report from my phone for my first choice route. Thats a no no as was route no.2>Long wat round then M4 to M5 then north to Gloucester.Figured Iād rather get there than not at all maybe.Sailed through and only added about 30mins to the trip! Over to Pershore for my reload thought this might be a problem thought about doing the long way again then decided to go for it after talking to the lads at Gloucester.Sailed through again just took it a bit slower than normal. The point is I used every piece of info going and basically it lacked accuracy. It wasnāt necessary in my opinion to declare Gloucestershire closed because of the snow,I didnāt see any! Nor any grittersā¦
Iām going nowhere as I was sacked on Friday for tipping a motor over in the wind.
See the Law section for the full story and leave your opinion if you want.
Cheers.
