Coffee… there`s a lot of big ugly hairy women in deutschland and you know it…
None of the ones I’ve seen here in the last two days could be described as that. In fact the only big, ugly, hairy thing here is me.

By the way, Coffee, I gave you a big wave on Monday at Adinkerke … spotted you at the last moment as a Herman had been overtaking me. You was late??
I did see you and I did return your wave. I used more than two fingers as well.
I wasn’t late, I had no need to rush as all I had to do on Tuesday was tip Nijmegen then run to Thurnau. Remember, don’t work hard, work smart.

Just been informed that I have a late start tomorrow
Go up to the yard about 2100, collect a preloaded trailer for Spits and then ship out to Dunkerque where my trailer should be waiting for me to collect from a subbie for a 1100 Wakefield Tuesday morning.
As I have said before, I usually pull the same trailer … for the last 5 weeks, as fast as I have picked it back up, I have lost it again!! I picked it up from Duisburg last Monday, had it washed and looking all lovely at Soham on Tuesday and shipped out to Duisberg again on Wednesday where I had to leave it on Thursday GRRRRRR
Nose bleed time again as i run up to Luton for mid-day Monday then empty back to the yard to have air-con regassed then swap trailers then over the water to either Germany of Holland
Get the worst drop done first then enjoy the rest of the week with good facilities, cheap top notch grub, no little hitler security and best off all no booking times as it gets there when it gets there.

Blimey Linux, you’re worse than me and that’s saying something. At least I can get as far as Milton Colditz before I get a nose bleed.
If you want a coffee in Luton on Monday I’ll give you my address, you can park the truck at the end of the road. I won’t be there mind you so just help yourself.

I loaded at St Seurin sur Isle(33) at Alcan after much searching and address changing. On the way down I stopped at the old Claudes on the N137, not very impressed at all, whats happened?:
Malc,
You ain’t going to believe this after all my bragging about my comprehensive resto knowledge of France, but I don’t know this one. Perhaps I just don’t know the name, where precisely is it so I’ll know to avoid in future?Must rush. off to a match.
Salut, David.
The routier is on the N137 after Saintes, before rejoining the A10 Im sure it was called Claudes, it used to be used by all the brits who ran down Spain through La Rochelle, so was best avoided anyway, Maybe that is the reason you dont know it. Im fairly certain it was an Elf garage but now it is AS24 and Total
6 start for Brum for 10.

Malc,
That would explain it, I was always rushing down to what I think is one of the best on the road, at least until the old ‘patronne’ retired a couple of years ago, then only slightly less so.
If you haven’t tried it it is ‘Les Trois Moulins’ and is on the N137 between Saintes and Pons at St. Leger. On top of a hill with parking both sides but definitely easier with a right ■■■■■■ southbound. The old lady used to come bustling out to bully you if she thought you weren’t parking neat enough. Bark and bite though, she bought me a drink more than once.
I’ve just come in! The routier you mean is at St. Genis south of Pons. Only stopped there once, not bad but not a patch on St. Leger.
If you get the chance try St. Leger, let me know what you think of the new regime.
Just got back last night from our round trip. Stopped instead at the Centre Routier at Castelnau north of Toulouse Sat. night, not the one in the city. Great meal and they gave us a bucket full of food for the dogs as well! Parked the van with wife and dogs on the banks of the Gironne a bit nearer in and took the car to the match, parking almost outside, no problem.
No routiers open Sunday so stopped and ate (surprisingly well) at the last big msa before Brive on the A20, then Tuesday night at Le Chêne Vert at Lucon. Not bad but not top ranking either, but the clown of a barman gave us a baseball cap each. Closed up at 2130, so don’t bank on eating there after about half eight.
Had intended in stopping at La Belle Cantiniere at Tourriers (N10) last night, another of my favourites and where we would probably have seen a few of my mates on a Friday running in, but it is only 1 hour and 20 from home and we were making good time, so the pull of the ranch was too great.
Great trip, but nice to be back.
Bon appetit, Salut, David.
i will try St Leger than, although after my wingeing ,I had to stop at St Genis de Saintonge again on Wednesday, the food was a lot better and miss attitude has left, there was a new girl serving us and she was ok
I only just missed you last week. I shipped out monday and ran to the MSA la porte de corezze? then down to Toulouse and reloaded from Castelmoron sur Lot near Villeneuve.
I have put your number in my phone so If I get to within 50kms I will call you in future. provided i dont have an early start, we can sample the apperitif
