All being well, I’m supposed to be doing my first Class 1 run on Tuesday. No idea where yet…

My lorry is in for an inspection on monday and as the other driver is off I’ll have the 18t monday which is a old style DAF 55 (rather than my LF55), it’s a total heap with a knackered seat and driving it is something like I’d imagine riding a athritic hippopotamus would be.

Two local drops are loaded already. Local to us is Norwich city drops rather than further out in Norfolk, which is distance work!

After that who knows, probably pick mine up later in the day as well I’d have thought.

I’m on agency, so I don’t know what I am doing.

It could be nights for haulfast, which it will be a 19.00 start

Just hope it’s not Argos at Basildon, I hate that place, blind side reverse on bays which are on a angle, no space, lights blearing down at you, shunters waiting, trucks waiting, and that’s just for me, some truck driver parks his trailer over white line or does not back trailer to the end of the bay and sticks out, so struggle to get it, sweat pouring of me, everyone claps when I get in 30 minutes later.

Need to go back several times there just to practice blind side reverse on nights that’s the place to go.

Or the agency will ring on Sunday and say there is a special job for me (I hate that because it’s a contract no one wants to touch)

At the moment, it is load Monday in Brierley Hill for Madrid, backloading out of Valencia.
The Boss did make a little mention of a load that needs to go and was I interested. When he told me where, I said ok… we’ll see

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I loaded in Brierley Hill this morning but they took so long to load 26 pallets, I missed the afternoon boat out of Portsmouth and got to get the night boat now So having 4 or 5 sneaky hours at home rather than sit in Portsmouth Dock till 11 tonight

No. The agency have agreed with the worker’s to opt out. It doesn’t apply to me.
