i’ve never stopped there but i have stopped for food a few times. I don’t recognise any of there reviews, it isn’t an orwell crossing but neither is it a lymm either.

Just a thought… have any of you mentioned or e-mailed Whitwood TS to voice your concerns?If you dont tell them things are going wrong they may just be sailing along in complete ignorance
It was always quite easy to raise a concern at Whitwood as the boss man was always around, either taking the parking money or having a beer in the bar, where he would make a point of introducing himself to drivers. But maybe it’s changed hands or he is less interested these days.
I agree about the food. I don’t remember having a decent feed there. I also got a bollocking once from the little fierce one for putting my plate & irons on the counter instead of the trolley (which had been taken into the kitchen to be emptied). That really endeared me to the place !
You do have a point about telling them if their service is lacking but after a 15 hour day do you really want to face a haridan of the kitchen and tell her “that was crap luv”. I think most drivers would rather vote with their feet if there was other secure 
parking about. If they were that concerned about food quality and customer service they would be activley garnering opinion from there customers but seeing as it’s full every night I would think this doesn’t come very high on their agenda.
Showers ain’t bad though.
