The snooper truck one seems to be well rated. I find the Tom Tom car one and decent atlas plus the odd google maps on the phone good enough.

I would say that a quick shuftie of the map to see what motorway you need to get off and using the Satnav for the last few miles is probably how most truck drivers with any experience are going to use it. We know how to get to Birmingham, its when we get there we may need a little help.

yeah but its a good idea to have it on for the whole journey
just in case of motorway closure
and you have to come off 1 or 2 junctions earlier than planned

Also got a TV in it & you can use it with memory cards to watch films (if you can work out how to download stuff in the right format, I need to ask a teenager !! )

the video mode recognizes AVI format

Hi Guys

Thanks very much for the info I do tend to use satnav (now dead :frowning: ) and the truckers atlas. I did hear about the TomTom 5150 but the review i read said it was rubbish equally the graphics on the snooper weren’t any good but hey will see what occurs and ofcourse the price cheers team and look forward to any further posts. :smiley:

Do any off you do european work■■?

Im a european driver and need a new satnav, my satnav is an tomtom go with a cracked copy off truck on it and in france with all the weight limits its just like using a car satnav, its a total waste off time so im also looking at a tomtom 5150 but dont wsnt to waste my money.

Don’t pay over the top these’s are tried and tested !
Go on Ebay and type in Truck Sat Navs or hopefully my link will work, they have got Europe on too, and much better than Snooper etc and only £109.00 or the one on the link is £75.00 !!
