I know some of you lads are back in today, …I still have another week.
Not gloating btw, if any consolation it has been ■■■■ crap so far.
It started with the episode the first day with my boat swelling up like ■■■■ medicine ball…that lasted until last Wed.
Stayed in Thurs, recovering from that…(after knocking back at least 4 phone calls so far to go out for a few pints from a couple of lads )
Newcastle getting knocked out of Carling cup,.then getting beat 2x by two teams we should have easily beat .
Then on Sunday felt a cold coming on fast (which developed into either flu, man flu or ■■■■ Covid…who tf knows, )
So Christmas Day was not as good as it should be, even though my daughter was a brilliant host, so no fault of hers,.just I did not feel 100%.
And I still feel like sh today, …and its ■■■■■■■ down.
But at least I can still stay in.
So hoping to be ok for our party on NYEve, but then back to ■■■■ work 2 days after.
So not to ■■■■ great this year so far for me.
Finished 14th,flew out to Manila,then onto Davao in south Philippines for Xmas,out island hopping,roast piglet Xmas lunch crispy lechon,fried fish,prawns,lots of cake beer, karaoke, playing guitar,games,then start eating again! Flying back to Manila in couple hours, whatever today is? Currently in lounge stuffing face again,Nye fireworks manila then off to islands Bohol for five days, returning to Manila until fly home 18th, probably start working again in February

Sitting at the outdoor bar on 25th floor of my hotel this evening enjoying the view and buy 1 get 1 free on cocktails before going for a meal with friends at hard rock cafe in Phuket.
Worst toothache I’ve ever had on Christmas day combined with a chest infection but managed a full Christmas dinner and a great day with the 2 year old until the toothache kicked in!
Got the tooth out yesterday so missed the annual charity auction and quiz at the local club, but now feeling a lot better and looking forward to Ocean Colour Scene in Cardiff on New Year’s Eve!
Last agency shift of the year tomorrow and crossing my fingers that I can get enough work through 2024 to sustain my new working life of 3/4 days a week on agency!
Woke up feeling ill on my first day off on holiday on Sunday. Had to book 2 days for Xmas eve and Xmas day as on supermarket work. Did a COVID test and I’ve got COVID again. Smell has gone completely again and feel like crap. Was supposed to be back in work boxing day night. Hopefully be well enough by Sunday night to go back to work.
Had COVID in October 2021 for the first time and now in 2023.
So take care out there people act as if it’s no longer a thing but it’s still around and more prevalent this time of year.

Then off for another 5.
Back in today for a quick Warrington tip and return to the yard. Driving time to Warrington was 2h 40min with the cruise set at 53mph. Took an extra hour on the way back because the hobby drivers were out in force wearing their brakes out at every opportunity!
Tomorrow and Friday is getting rid of the trucks and trailers before redundancy at the weekend. Obviously because the company is run by morons they’ve made no prior provision to get rid of the tackle so it now looks like they’re gonna pay a hefty premium to park them all at B&Q’s new place at Blyth.

Haha got out of Carlisle!it’s not all that,used to work Xmas,plus Gers bit boring walking up to blue sunny sky,32+…not!
Spent most of today sitting on veranda,seafood for tea then off for walk round mall,air con so very popular n ice cream n few jars later
