Whats YOUR pet hate?

  1. car & van drivers with FOIL syndrome - fear of inside lane, no exaggeration i passed a line of at least 30 of them yesterday on a1 near quernhow and i couldn’t even SEE anything in lane 1  :imp: :exclamation:

  2. bmw drivers - all jumped up trainee estate agents, i NEVER let a beemer out of a sideroad etc where i would with any other type of motor :sunglasses:

  3. tailgating - especially artics, often motors from same firm running together

i COULD go on for a very long time but let’s leave it there eh?!

Broken down, and unloading, vehicles which still have hazards on when something else has parked behind, making it look as if they are pulling out.

Timid drivers who slow down brake lights on for every little bend or when meeting oncoming vehicles.

Brake lights operated by retarder making it look as if I am riding the brakes all the way down the mountain.

Salut, David.

paul@midway:
A lots already been mentioned …

no indication
tailgateing by any vehicle
swoopers on and off any type of road

A what

the thanks for letting me out onto the motorway and to repay you for your kindness i,m going to hold you out .
( and just for the record i no longer move over at any slip roads , they give way to me not the other way round , as the highway code states, i also remember some time back on the A14 i couldnt move over anyway but this bmw refused to back off , he was to busy watching me didnt have enough speed and ran out of sliproad , bounced up the kerb onto the grass   )

Yes, I do exactly the same now and needless to say there have been a number of very upset truckers this week who don’t understand the concept of the ‘give way’ markings.

the sandwich manouvere
( truck in lane 2 , your in lane 1 and cars/vans/trucks try to move into some imaginery space off the sliproad , thus causing the sandwich effect )
foglights coming on when someone blows ■■■ smoke out the window

I like that! Will have to remember that one :sunglasses: .

people trying to squeeze by on roundabouts
people coming down the manouver space you have left for a turn
( i have started a turn and stopped halfway knowing full well there is a car there and then made them reverse out of my turn space … all about teaching them a lesson )
cocky warehouse staff
brain dead security
full beamers
loads there must be more

Like it was said earlier, I to hate the general public, one and all, but a couple of my favourite dislikes are

  1. People who stop at roundabouts when a quick glance would have told them they could have went.
  2. BMW drivers, all tossers.
  3. All the above.
  4. Asylum seekers/ immigrants.(nothing to do with driving, I just don’t like them).
  • speed limits  :imp:
  • drivers who hit brakes on a downhill when there is an uphill bit ahead of them
  • having to cross a border into england
