Welsh Border and Mid Wales Hauliers 1950's onwards

Another FH in a plain wrapper.

Goodwich haulier W F Hall run a smart fleet of artics, used to be mainly Mercs, but they seem to have a mixture these days.

I met this Merc of W F Hall’s in Leominster this afternoon. It’s seen here at the Carmarthen Show,it’s all decked out for a childrens hospital appeal.Excellent cause.

W F Hall Magnum seen at the show.

This firm had some smart vehicles at the show.

A couple of smart FH’s.

A couple of nice Foden tippers, which in a few years will only be seen at shows like this.

hiya,
Chris there would have to be a mucky corner at these shows for me to be in with a shout of getting anywhere, as for re-painting the tyre lettering i would’nt even put the hosepipe on the tyres i once when aged 21 had a go at cleaning a motor i was disappointed to find it did’nt perform any better than when it was mucky so i never bothered again.
thanks harry long retired.

I always liked a clean motor Harry but painting tyres…anyway how do you paint the inside ones

A row of Merc’s,can’t understand why there aren’t more of these around.

Three of Walters of Pontyates Foden bulk tippers.

Pantgwyn Quarry Volvo FH from the Pembroke-Cardigan Border.

A cracking tribute to the late Fred Dibnah on this Foden.

Bet your glad of digital cameras Dave - it would have cost a fortune to get that lot processed at Boots

Keep up the good work

Steve
