Hi Tony,
Thanks for that,a few different people sticking things on is more interesting than just me posting them. Fair play jonmea and road commander have posted quite a few, also a few others,it all goes to make this and other threads more interesting.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Trev,
Exactly right, suppose its a back covering exercise. The quarries up this way are the same, more notices than workers.
Cheers Dave.
One of Clive Price artics,a rare sight a Daf. This outfit has been a long time Scania operator.
This Scania had just come round the lights on the A44, at the Bargates Leominster.

Hi another firm my dad worked for .They were called Cooksons form Condover just out side of Shrewsbury. He drove both of them . But the F86 was his baby. Used mostly on stone from Bayston Hill quarry and sugar beet from farms about the area.It was way under powered but my dad used the 8 gears too the full!!
Another picture of my dad (RIP) and his baby

Hi Tony,
Great pics. I remember seeing Cooksons about, where abouts is the F7 tipping, that peice of road looks familiar.
Cheers Dave.
One I missed out of Woody’s batch. The FL6 he used to drive in,what I think pictured in a nice setting.
Too be honest Dave I haven’t a clue it was a long time a go.Probably Shropshire may be west midlands . All I can remember was that the tarmac was from from Bayston Hill quarry.

Nice to see them Tony. I see a lot of the Bayston Hill wagons about, there doesn’t seem quite so many as there was, expect they are suffering a bit, same as these down here.
Cheers Dave.
