Harry would say that the fading is due to too much washing, Dave! :unamused:

Hiya
And yes ROF Harry would be correct in his assumption, I’ve only ever washed
my own cars once the performance and MPG was no different, so to hell with
that for a game of soldiers, if it’s not beneficial it don’t get done.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi Casey & Harry,
I think its more a case of the vinyl transfer wearing off.
Cheers Dave.

One of Bayliss Bros, seen on the A44 on the Herefordshire side of the Welsh Border.

Hiya,
There you go Dave, too much time on the wash also causes vinyl fade a coating
of quarry stone dust helps keep that at bay, I think I once convinced a gaffer of
of that fact, well he was shaking his head it just might have been approval and
then again it must have been dismay he did however tell me to leave my keys on
their hook before I went home on Saturday lunchtime and as if by magic I had a
nice shiny motor when I rolled in on Monday morning, a waste of his time really
the “old girl” was just as bad as it was on the previous Saturday when I got back
on Tuesday afternoon a pointless exercise, I can’t even recall where the wash
was situated in that yard.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi Harry,
Some are always cleaning their lorries. I did wash the lorry when I was driving them, but it was a wash and no frills. I reserved that for my own vehicle.
Cheers Dave.

One seen coming onto the A44 from the Gore Quarry, Radnorshire.

Seen on the N25 in their own country.

Another one seen in Co Waterford, just over the Welsh border and a bit of water.

Our good friend Graham Hillman kindly sent me these pics of a Daf Demonstrator he was using the other week.
Not quite as impressive as his big Scania.

Hiya,
Would have liked to have seen a side on shot of Graham’s "borrowed DAF.
thanks harry, long retired.
