That’s a cracking photo of the Dennis 6 wheeler Dave, 1945/46 Reg Birmingham. I noticed it had the old Kirkstall Axles on it, Of course they were very popular in those days and fitted to a lot of this type of vehicle, Keep them rolling please, Regards Larry.

Cheers Dave.

Courtesy of whoever took them. Bengry’s of Longmoor near Leominster ran a fair sized fleet of flatbeds and also several tippers from their Leinthall quarry near Wigmore, Herefordshie. Thanks to the owner of the pic.

Hi Dave , where was that pic taken is it local ? Bengrys also did a little steel work as well , they had a GUY J unit with a sleeper cab , regards Keith .

Hi Keith,
I’m not sure where, but must be local to Kingsland. I got the pics off a mate on Facebook.
Cheers Dave.

These were in the ownership of Dave Morris in Pembridge when the pics were taken -

Sorry if they were yours Steve. I found them on the net.
Cheers Dave.

Not mine, Dave!
But I distinctly remember the Reiver as Dave was asking after it as he had seen the pic online himself -

The reg was BCJ974L - one of the last LAD cabbed Reivers - it had the 401 engine

A mate went to see it - he says it was owned by Roy Edwards by then - but it went for auction -

It may well still be around --or it was broken for part for another motor

I’m sure I have posted this before but it has a link to those Bengry motors – Dave Morris’s Leyland – snapped 4 years back

Is he still working, Dave?

Yes Steve, met him on the road about a week ago. I remember Roy having an Albion six wheeler. I will ask David about it when I next speak to him.
Cheers Dave.
