A small Renault, seen on the A49 between Ludlow and Leominster.
hiya,
Now then Dave thats just about what i could manage now but it would have to be palletised traffic and would need a “trailer boy” to operate the curtains and for me to clobber with the knotted rope from time to time.
thanks harry long retired.
I expect you could still manage it better than most Harry.
Cheers Dave.
hiya,
Thanks for the vote of confidence Dave but if i could manage to climb into the thing i’ll dare bet i could’nt get it started.
thanks harry long retired.
I think that would be the easy bit for you Harry, although the lorry isn’t exactly a new one.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Harry,
Still driving both of them. The ■■■■■■ is going into a body shop this week for a month to have the rust done and a full respray, its cheaper to keep it going than going out and finding another van.I don’t really like having two vehicles, but if one is off the road I have a back up vehicle. Have had this transit for 11 years and done over 240,000 miles with it,doesn’t use any oil ( probably blow up now I’ve said that). My sprinter is a good moter, only drawback with it,because its merc, any spares when it needs them are going to be expensive and the nearest main dealer is at Kidderminster 40 miles away. Some of the recent pics have been taken out of the transit, they are better from the sprinter, because it has a bigger winndscreen, plus its about a foot higher.
Cheers Dave.

hiya,
thanks for that Dave was just being nosey i think the only problem with the Ford would be the “tinworm” i’ve seen twelve month old motors showing rust spots around the edges not the best advert for an otherwise dependable machine.
thanks harry long retired.

This one was two and a half year old when I bought it Harry,it had only done 1,800 miles and was like new,the only trouble is the colour, its red and it fades.I haven’t got anywhere high enough to park under,so both vans are parked on our drive.Tracy’s Fiesta is under the carport, used to have a garage with a utility room behind it,but had it converted into extra living space a few years back.My sprinter which I had new is metalic silver,so hopefully won’t rust as bad as the transit.
I used to have cars, the last one a new Vauxhall Vectra 2.0i GLS back in 1998. Won’t be going back to them,as the vans are much more practical for my situation, plus I like being sat higher, not as high as in a lorry, but quite a bit higher than a car.
Harry I don’t think you are nosey at all, just taking an interest is what I would call it.
Cheers Dave.
