Well if we are going to get into a climate argument.

The earth itself goes through a lot of variations in Temp over thousands of years. During each of these temperature changes there is mass extinction and variations in what is and what is not underwater.

So to say we are killing the planet is not true. The earth is going to be 100% fine. What we are doing is accelerating the process.

Now the argument from the climate scientists is that we should if possible stop the change. Ideally it should not get any hotter than it is right now. But they accept that realistically we should go no higher than what we are at now +1.5c.
They say this is realistic but it is not. I think most now accept the 1.5c target is dead.
But even if it was not dead. What is the LONG-TERM objective? To keep the earth at our current temperatures in perpetuity? A sort of goldielocks temperature? The earth does not work this way and that could do some real damage to the planet.
The entire cycle of life on this planet has been one mass extinction event after the other with life adapting along the way.
Conversing all life in particular animal life is not realistic.

Also Humans have been around for around 200,000 to 300,000 thousand years. I am sure we are capable of adapting. There will be no mass extinction for humans either due to climate change. We have survived much worse.
I suspect a lot of people will die though due to climate change. But my point is all we can do is slow it down, stopping climate change is impossible.

The temperature at the top of Kilimanjaro v its base and the fact that Mars has been frozen with an atmosphere made up of 95% CO2 proves that Venus wasn’t cooked because of the 95% CO2 content of its atmosphere.
It was cooked by its atmospheric pressure and distance from the Sun in exactly the same way that Mars was frozen and you’ll need to wear arctic kit at the equator at the top of Kilimanjaro.
Only a climate scammer would call those facts a conspiracy theory while laughably applying selective double standards in the case of Venus v Mars.

To be honest we have not had a free press for quite some time. Name one unbiased main street media source which is not pushing some government or corporate narrative? No one cares about real news, it’s all about the clicks and making monies.

From what I understand these protestors could theoretically be charged under the domestic counter terrorism act and held for up to 28 days while the lawyers argue the case. Would probably not stick, but would certainly make them think twice before shutting down the M25 again.

Planets warm up and planets cool down, just part of the natural cycle. It’s happened before and will no doubt happen again, maybe humans speed up the process, maybe we don’t.

Maybe if the government was honest for once and said:

“Look we are [zb]; we are going to run out of oil before we have the battery infrastructure in place to support sufficient renewables to replace fossil fuels. Without new oil sources our supply chains breakdown and mass starvation will become a thing. We thought globalisation was good until Russia invaded Ukraine, now we realise importing tomatoes from Morocco because it’s cheaper than producing them in the UK was not such a great idea. Opec+ has us by the balls and their lobbyists have bought pretty much every influential politician/person on the planet except maybe Trump and Musk who are rich enough already and don’t care about the bribes. We are confident that you the British people will do the right thing in this time of crisis and reduced your energy/fuel consumption (also not panic buy 10 years’ worth of toilet paper). You read enough to garner points to criticise, but you ingore other bits that have said several times things like

January-March 2023 will be the “Division Bell” for the world of Truckers, with a shortage of work in what used to be the best areas, and a shortage of drivers in what is fast becoming the worst.

The “Balance” to achieve - is be firmly established in a place that worries about getting a job done safely, cleanly, and unmolested by “acting” management - rather than the political leanings of the person doing that job, who offends them so much that they’d put H&S at risk merely to get rid of such…

The safest place for me to be - is “outside of your sphere of influence” then, and the safest place for you to be - is “You were never in danger to start with” - at least not from me in any case.
