why do you need good luck i have driven them for 15 years would never go back to anything else.
known dion in the office at walkers for years. so might see you around aylesford newsprint tipping in there most days. you might not get the best trailer on the fleet but everyones got to start somewhere,
just take your time until you get use to it and have fun

work for myself but i know a few lads on there, and mr walker has been rufflin a few feathers, couple of the longest serving drivers have been pushed out so to speak and a lot of new younger drivers are coming in โ€œflesh he pound likes of hisโ€ re-arange to suit

i know a few drivers that use them , & it certainly a love or hate relation ship with them , a couple of lads like them because they dont have to worry about the height of some sheds when delivering as opposed to tippers & also they can forward & reverse the floor to level a load , one haulier i know got rid of his as he couldnโ€™t haul sand or glass as it was too abrasive on the floor , stuff gets inbetween the slats & just wear away the moving parts , also with fuel prices as they are you have to keep the unit running & if it takes an hour to tip then thats an hour running idle you could do without unlike a hyd tipper , that you can tip & shut down.
just be carefull opening the back door , i know a few drivers that have had more than just a black eye as the latches are hit & the door swings back a bit sharpish !

i pull a walking floor there a lot safer than a tipper but can be a bit big for some places the overhang on the back and front gets in the way sometimes as a tipper doesnt have this a few tips are

.stand behind the doors when opening them or youl get a face full of your load
.when its windy and your winding the sheet up park with the wind blowwing the sheet on as you wrap it up or itl blow off and its very heavy
.if the wind does get hold of it dont try to stop it or you will go for a ride that will hurt when it stops
.if the trailor has a flip down light guard fitted use it or the lights will smash
.if its fitted with a solid front wall with a matt on the bottom the matts can rip of if you are walking the load in then when you walk it back out there wll be about 4" of load front to back that will need handballing out some companys dont replace these when there ripped off

thanx for the advice everyone
