I got the same reply I was kind of hoping it may be a generic response due to the amount of applications , either way the email I got suggested it was a computer that was filtering the applications never mind eh
It says ERF not RAF:
TNT Trucker:
Applied for two jobs there, fingers crossed. If anybody else does the multiple choice I recommend not answering the questions honestly as they suggest you do, but just to select the answers you think they want you to tick !
There was even a question about pricing up food on the shelves ! Must be a generic questionaire for all vacancies. I understand the need to narrow down the applicants but this just seems daft.
Always answer questions from their angle not your own is my advice, that is how i played it. Havenāt heard either way as yet.
Will keep you posted
Sounds promising if you havenāt heard back I got my reply in about 12 hours
Fingers crossed anyway good luck

Simples!
These big companies today donāt want drivers like us with 25 to 30 years experience.
They want the young ones who they can brainwash into their way of thinking such as Saturday and Sunday
are just normal days at normal pay as are nights.
The younger generation have never heard of double time or a day in lieu for a bank holiday etc.
They donāt want the older generation of drivers who could rock the boat they just want yes men
who will do anything, live in fear of management and not get involved with unions.
spot on that about sats/suns and unions. i applied a 2nd time under diffrnt email and passed which shows what dicks they are anyway i struggle to work under these modern college boy encourage back stabbing regimes so im not followin it through they can keep there bone cruncher day cabs my backs bad enough

No Mike, the other strange thing is that the last post on this topic was on Fri Mar 22, 2013 8:49 am, so a topic that hasnāt been posted to in more than 4 months took a fair bit of searching for and is what the OP chose for his TN posting debut.
Itās a coincidence!!
The runs are pretty good Iām doing some traction out of Bra knell at the moment. All the drivers seem happy enough and they treat their staff pretty weāll by the sounds of things!
There advertising in the lancs evening post for agency staff on shifts there, seems like they were far too fussy with selecting people.

Nothing to do with being too fussy mate. They have the full compliment of drivers they needed. They have brought forward some of the later starters, but they have to go through induction, so are using some agency for the time being. As always there will be a contingent of agency anyway for seasonal fluctuations/sickness etc.
