I’d rather listen to Feltz than to Zoë Ball to be honest, can’t stand all the “let’s be happy” bullcrap. I enjoyed listening to the bloke that replaced Ball when she was off on holiday, but to be honest, morning radio has never been the same again after Sir Terry Wogan left.

I’m glad Vanessa is leaving. Her shows were really repetitive and annoying “lovely listener” etc. When doing the lunchtime show, she’s even worse than Jeremy Vine with her “stories” being very light-weight and were usually too woman centric.
I’ll be through with Radio 2 when Ken Bruce goes - the last of the Terry Wogan style broadcasters. During the day, R2 might as well be a commercial station, and don’t get me started about the creeping cancer of wokeness.

. Then after radio 2 she is on BBC London untill 10 .
Heard them saying she been on air for 20 years.
Fair play to her lasting that long doing them times.
I know some drivers start that early yes.
But once she starts at 4 she can’t have a sleep or a lay down . Untill 10 am.

Nothing therein that has me clutching the pearls.She needed a long holiday maybe.A few clumsy observations doesn’t detract from her earlier tenure.She was a delight for many years but anything cultural i feel only has a ten year shelf life before becoming stale.See Steve Wright.Only Ken keeps the ship afloat for the discerning listener but even he can’t tempt me back from my 6 year radio exile.I just don’t like what’s on offer it’s painful on nevery level.Strictly mp3 player mode.

Agree,he left the place as a giant black hole.Finest broadcaster who ever lived.I always liked Stuart Maconie,he has the requisite charm,wit and intelligence to fill the current void.
I can’t stand that little Wesh prick who is on R2 early this week,… him that is on the telly always over dressed in a suit, reading the weather I think, looks like if you breathed on him he’d blow over.
