A = Apple
NA = Not Apple
I have no problems with using either ports with my satnav, samsung phone or anything else I throw at it, but I am guessing with an apple device like iPhone/iPad you will need to use the A ports

What’s the difference between this Hella one and other ones?
I’ve got one of those Hella to cig lighter doublers for when I have to take another motor out.
It’s perfectly adequate, just not very tidy, and you have to keep an eye on gravity/vibration not working the plugs out.
In mine I just chopped the cig lighter plug off a 4 way (screwed to the dash) and swapped it for a hella plug. Got 2 of those double USB sockets in it for my phone, DAB radio, wifi dongle and tablet, then my satnav and coolbox go into the other 2.
Works a treat. Only put the hella plug on as the socket is more out of the way, and it’s a constant live, not ignition controlled.

but before i order it can we just confirm 1 or 2 things
so i just plug it into the 24v cigar lighter socket in the cap and i can then plug 4 12v charger/devices into the 4 usb sockets
and they will work without any problem
or as i have no apple products does it mean i can only use the 2 not apple usb sockets
and i dont need a voltage dropper thing either

Yes it will plug straight into a 12 or 24 socket.
You can plug up to 5 items in at one time, no problem.
The apple bit is down to a problem with Apple devices saying ‘Not Charging’ whilst plugged in… You can use any of the ports with none apple devices.
Amazon do let you return ‘Fulfilled by Amazon’ items free if you are not happy with them… Have a go. (just don’t be tempted with the prime offer if you are likely to forget cancelled it.

If the FM Transmitter is powered by USB? I haven’t seen one before, but if it is then it will work as the USB port outputs 5V regardless of 12 or 24V Input

Check your charger. A lot actually say that you can use them on 24V… It’s the input part of the ratings sticker (if it’s got one mind you). When I first started driving I panicked cos I had me birds sat nav and I thought the charger wouldn’t work or it would get fried, but that said it could take a 24V input. Since then I’ve used my phone charger in the cab and it doesn’t hurt it. it actually charges my phone faster too…Hi

I have a Snooper S1000 satnav and Snooper have just confirmed this will run off 12V & 24V
Makes no difference the chargers are transformers (step down to 5 volts) and have there own current/voltage limiting circuits.
Bloody hell, have you not looked at the rest of this thread. Some of the voltage regulator transistors will work with a 12v input, some with 24 etc. If you put 24, or more likely 28v into a 12v rated transistor, it will over heat. I’ve seen this happen with an LM317 type transistor and it doesn’t take long to get hot.
So NO, they’re not all the same circuits inside !
