I once did a fair bit of traveling many moons ago and on an island in the andaman sea a girl from New Zealand said I was like driftwood, I remember her well :stuck_out_tongue: I still wear a necklace she gave me.
People just shortened it to Drift and it’s been like that for years.

Was it a ’ pearl ’ necklace mate? And are you sure it was a girl?..

I stole mine from a name I used to hear on Sally Traffic, years ago…

Whatever happened to her btw, has she retired? Not a regular listener to R2 nowadays, but not heard her for ages when I’ve dipped in and out.

Sally is on at the weekend these days

Snarley

  1. To growl viciously while baring the teeth.
  2. To speak angrily or threateningly.

To utter with anger or hostility: snarled a retort.

  1. A vicious growl.
  2. A vicious, hostile utterance.

Thats what the internet says. I was called at school because it rhymes with my real name apparently.
I hated school bullies

Mine is the name of a company i once setup importing yachts from argentina.

My name’s Dan

Mineo is my nameo …

Many years ago I worked on the phone network as a cable jointer. One of the methods we used was to twist the wires together having stripped the insulation. One of the guys I used to socialise with used it and it stuck. There was also a “rod bender” (angler) and “bungalow” (gullible) in the group.

When I first joined Truck Net my son was watching Pirates of the Caribean as I was signing up. That’ll do.
